NEW TO BDSM?

Welcome, from sol and Ms160!

This blog contains an enormous amount of material that has proved useful to other new kinksters over the years. But at the same time the blog has become hard to find your way around.

Here are a few tips:

If you have specific kinky interests / topics you want to find:
  • Check out the titles in the BDSM For Beginners series (under "BDSM FOR BEGINNERS" in the "LABELS" section in the right hand column). You'll also find the BDSM For Beginners on a separate blog HERE. I recommend heading over there if you are finding this blog too difficult to get around.
  • Use the "SEARCH" link in the right hand column, to look for blog posts on specific topics.
  • Check out the "LABELS" in the right hand column, to look for blog posts and discussion of specific BDSM topics.
  • Check out my blog lists on this blog's home page, to find bloggers with similar interests.
If you just want to have a wander around (for example, to get an idea of how a D/s relationship works):
  • Check out the "LABELS" in the right hand column, to see if any topics push your buttons.
  • Scroll through the BLOG POST TITLES in the section in the right hand column titled WHAT's GONE BEFORE.
  • Check out the titles in the BDSM For Beginners series (under "BDSM FOR BEGINNERS" in the "LABELS" section in the right hand column). You'll also find the BDSM For Beginners on a separate blog HERE.
  • Check out my blog lists on this blog's home page. You'll find different lists for dominant writers, sub writers, blogs about D/s relationships (marriages, poly families etc), a list of kinky podcasts and finally a list of BDSM online resources.

MOST COMMON INFORMATION REQUESTS WE RECEIVE:

Where can we find a link explaining BDSM terminology?

Start with Wiki's BDSM Glossary :). You might also like to check out Wiki's BDSM Topics page. The latter is pretty basic, but it might give you the right terminology for kinks and fetishes that interest you, which you can then google.

When you decide you'd like a more comprehensive glossary check out the one on Franklin Veaux's site.

  •  I  highly recommend you join FETLIFE. Fetlife is free to join. Unlike Collarme or ALT it's not a dating site, it's a real kinky community. Remember when you are creating your profile over there that it's different to those other sites ... you will make more friends on Fet if you change your profile from a personal ad, and simply write honestly about your kinky hopes.
Need info about finding an online or real time play partner or lifestyle partner?

  • Join FETLIFE and locate a geographic group near you that organizes munches. Fetlife is great for groups like this. I run one for the region where I live.
