I have done this before and that post is still worth reading, for the sex alone. However it was in 2007 so although some things remain the same, others (for example external factors like where we live and work) have changed. We now also include more rules and rituals now because we found we needed the structure they provide.

Okay, so here's an up to date "day in the life" of Ms160 and sol in February 2012, which contains water sports, anal play, obeisance rituals, feminization rituals, chastity play, peeing restrictions and close of day rituals.

Ms160 wakes up curled around sol in bed.
She is lying behind him, spooned against his body. She raises her head. The curtain-less window on sol's side of the bed platform reveals a bright sunny morning within a private world of grass, trees, a vegetable patch ... and a couple of wallabies. Ms160 looks down the bed. At their feet lies the Xmas Present, black on white, her paws and nose twitching as she dreams of the wallabies she scents outside.
As it is a work morning Ms160 checks the phone clock on the windowsill. She has a little time, so she pulls sol closer against her. Her arm wound around him, her face against his turned shoulder, she listens to his breathing. He is wearing a soft cotton nightgown. As she wrote before, "the fabric is soft against her cheek. When she first had him wear female clothes she had put him in grandmother like floral synthetics (like the jacket he wears on the right) which she discovered were scratchy against her body in the morning. Now she prefers natural fabrics".
This is still the case. A new feature is that since April 2010 sol has been wearing a bra, a rule Ms160 created to reinforce sol's submissive mindset when he was away from her at work, and then made something he had to wear 24/7. So there is now also a soft bra under his nightgown.
Warm and still in the sunlight Ms160 curls her fingers around sol's privates. Another new feature is the Prince Albert piercing through his cock, and the chastity device which confines him. Chastity has become an important component of Ms160 and sol's D/s relationship and sol now spends a lot of time in a device. This morning he is wearing a plastic CB device. Ms160 taps her finger nails against the warm hard plastic and smiles.
Time to get up .... Ms160 pulls on her ugg boots and walks down into the main part of the cabin to make coffee. While the water boils she opens the cabin door, walks out on the deck and breathes in the still morning ... she checks all the mountains are still there. She walks down the steps to the outdoor bathroom and uses the loo. When she returns to the cabin she leaves the door open for the XP.
By the time the coffee is ready she has set out sol's clothing for the day. She has chosen his matching lingerie, perhaps added something special like a garter belt and stockings, or something more mundane like clean socks. She may also have made his lunch, as he is still as thin and needs fattening up for caning.
Ms160 has written before of the slow way she likes to wake him with sex but this morning time is a little short so she calls to him gently as she approaches the bed. He sits up, sleepy and tousled, placing his hands together to accept the coffee cup from her, formally thanking her.
She returns to her side of the bed. A moment later he asks her permission to pee, which she grants. When with her he must always ask permission for this, but the rule is lifted when he is at work.
They curl up for a while and read. When it is time to get up, they move to the main part of the cabin. It may sound strange to those with endless water but when you live off the grid with limited tank water not every day is shower day lol. However you can read how Ms160 and sol take a shower here.
Ms160 begins to dress while sol strips and begins his morning rituals. The first of these is the selection of three corporal punishment implements from the toy boxes, which he presents to Ms160 during his morning obeisance.
While Ms160 chooses where, when or indeed whether these implements will be used, the choice of them is up to sol. It provides an opportunity for him to let Ms160 know his current needs without verbalizing them, which can be difficult. He may chose severe implements if he needs severe pain, or perhaps a new toy that's not been tried out yet, if he feels like something new.
Today sol chooses 2 canes and a black leather strap. Naked, he kneels in a predesignated spot on the Persian carpet near the fire (which warms him in winter), the toys stretched in front of him:
He stays there until Ms160 comes over and give him permission to get up. Kissing her feet completes the ritual:
Last time Ms160 wrote of a day in their lives, their day often included sol returning home during his lunch hour for a short scene. When they moved away from the city sol's commute time lengthened and lunch time play was no longer a possibility. So Ms160 and sol restructured their D/s rituals and rules so that there was a possibility of play before work, even if it's only ten minutes.This helps focus them both.
Morning play may occur during sol's obeisance or shortly afterwards. Today as sol remains kneeling Ms160 removed his chastity device. She then applies the strap to his backside:

Before he drives off Ms160 reminds sol that today is Friday ... the end of the week, with all that means within their D/s lifestyle...
In the evening sol returns. The Xmas Present eagerly awaits him ... perhaps there will be time for tennis balls? Just in case when Ms160 and the XP greet sol at the puppy gate, the XP has a ball in her mouth.
When Ms160 wrote about a day in their life in 2007, living in the city allowed date nights where they could go out for a movie or a meal. It takes a bit more organizing to do this in the country. But Friday evenings can still be special.
On weekends sol cooks and serves wonderful, magical meals. However on weekdays - due to him not getting home until 7pm or 8pm - Ms160 prepares the evening meal, which is usually ready to serve when sol gets home. Tonight while she does this they discuss their day. Sol relaxes, and the stresses of the day begin to fall away. He asks for permission to pee which is granted. Ms160 may fetch him a drink while he does tennis ball duties with the dog.
Once inside for the night sol strips and prostrates, performing his evening obeisance. Usually Ms160 will leave him prostrated longer in the evening, to help him re-orient his submissive mindset, now that he is home. Eventually Ms160 stands in front of him and gives him permission to rise. He kisses her feet. She selects his nightgown and night time bra and passes it to him.
However before he gets dressed she tells him she needs a pee. Watersports have been part of Ms160 and sol's rituals and play for some years now. However because Ms160 is on daily medications they have to limit how often they indulge. It's now become a weekend form of play. Until recently Ms160 would use a tube but now sol has made a wonderful seating device that allows the closest possible interaction. Ms160 now seats herself on this device with sol beneath her and literally lets go....
After sol's quick clean up Ms160 remind him that as it's Friday she wants him to insert and wear a butt plug for as long as possible, in preparation for strapon play she has planned for the weekend. Sol prepares the plug:

It's then into bed for sol, who is now in a blissfully happy submissive state having prostrated, been plugged and been peed into! Sol brings his laptop to bed and Ms160 brings two bowls of food. They watch a film or current favorite TV show on the laptop while they eat. When finished they curl up together and watch another episode. Requests to pee may not be granted for a while...
They then discuss weekend plans. Perhaps there is a party or a munch, perhaps a trip to Sydney to see friends, perhaps they simply discuss what play / sex Ms160 has planned. After two and a half hours sol asks to remove the butt plug and Ms160 kindly agrees.
Just before sleep sol performs his final ritual for the day. Ms160 and sol created this extremely personal ritual together, structured on Buddhist principles of confession, regret, method and promise. sol asks of Ms160:
"Mistress, i request permission to confess the ways in which i have fallen short of Your standards".Ms160 gives that permission sol then lists these ways. Perhaps he has forgotten to bring something home for Mistress. Perhaps he forgot during a phone call with Ms160 that he is to only put the phone down after she has disconnected. Perhaps he has interrupted Mistress or been abrupt. Perhaps something worse. Perhaps nothing comes to mind.
He then asks Ms160 if she has anything she'd like to add. She thinks for a moment and then replies that today his behavior has been without fault. sol continues:
"I confess these failings so that I may improve my behavior and become a better slave to You. I apologize for my shortcomings as a slave.
"I have pledged my obedience to You as my Mistress. The rules, protocols and rituals we have adopted are there to reinforce and deepen our relationship. I strive to improve my obedience to Your will, so that You can be proud to have me as your slave. For this reason I make confession and promise so that I may become a slave You can be proud of. It is only through devotion to the needs and desires of my Mistress that i can led a completely fulfilling life."sol then makes this promise to Ms160:
"I promise that from this time forward i will do my best to follow the rules, be obedient and to make You proud to be my Mistress"Finally he requests:
"Mistress, may I please have permission to enter your bed for the night?"Ms160 gives him permission, as well as permission to pee during the night, and he kisses her feet before getting into bed.
They read for a while. The XP guards the end of their bed, her nose on her paws. The stars shine through the windows. Usually sol turns his light off first, curling up on his side, facing the window. When Ms160 puts down her book she spoons up behind him, snuggling into his warmth ... and gradually her breathing slows. Her final thought for the night has not changed since 2007:
"The prayer she breathes into every night is that tomorrow will be such another day."
