Chastity update: Jail Bird

Regular readers will know chastity is an important part of our D/s relationship, and that we are always interesting in trying new chastity devices for sol. We've tried silicone (Bon4 review here) and plastic (CB6000) and metal (The Fort) with varying results. Thanks to our tax return we were able to purchase another chastity device for sol. We thought we'd give metal another go, but in a less solid style that The Fort. So we selected one from Mature Metal, who's website states:

"We have been conducting research and development for many years to develop the most comfortable and secure male stainless steel cages, tubes, and chastity devices in the world. This is not just an “off the shelf” chastity site. We hand craft every single one of the devices to the customer’s specifications without the high price tags".

I've long enjoyed the names of their devices: Queen's Keep, The Watchful Mistress etc ... we were especially interested in trying their Jail Bird device:

"The Jail Bird male chastity device is our most popular design.

"The stainless steel bars are very rigid which means they will not bend nor pinch. This device combines comfort, security, and great looks. Another perk to the Jail Bird is that it has a very low profile that is easy to hide under clothing. Don't confuse the Jail Bird device with the Bird Cage or Jail House chastity devices that are available from various retailers. Although these are slightly similar in design and certainly friends have reviewed them well (and you can read a review about them both here) the Jail Bird device from Mature Metal is made to measure.

We've provided sol's measurements and the final item we receive will be hand crafted to fit him. That's why you can't buy the device from Extreme Restraints or Sax or whatever. It's custom made so has to be purchased direct from Mature Metal.

There are pros and cons with all chastity devices. Out of the ones we've tried we've had the most success (and fun) with the CB6000. We still use this for short term play and of course it's still a good device for traveling because it's plastic.

But we've been looking for a device for longer use that will not cause the chaffing sol experiences. The Jail Bird seems to work better in this regard (for example, wantshiny wrote on a thread about the device posted by Tom Allen on Chastity Forums: "on the plus side though there is absolutely no issues in cleaning, chaffing, little worn patches of skin that always was a issue with the cb6K" while Chastity Geek noted in his progressive review on Chastity Mansion "no rub marks on me, no sore points") so we thought we'd see how it goes.

It's been ordered. We'll let you know how things proceed :)
