Easter having put me in the mood for nailing things, I decided it was time for some more CBT needle play. I wanted to combine this with objectifying and disembodying sol's cock and balls, and "stake out" sol's genitals.

At the time we did this scene I didn't know that this type of "stake out" had a name: butterfly boarding. Which itself is a form of impalement play, and of course is also edgeplay. The board can be any flat material to which the male's scrotum can be nailed or pinned with needles. Some kinksters even use "electric butterfly boards" (also here). Hygienically you want something you can throw out afterwards, as there will probably be serious amounts of bodily fluids. Midori says she's seen "dense foam core to nylon cutting board material sawed to shape used for this [and also] the gauge of the needles would make a difference in terms of the material for the board", which is worth remembering.


Sol cut a panel from the (unused clean) blue foam mat from our camping kit, and then cut a round hole into that piece. I didn't measure it, but it needs to be individually sized. db noted re his scene with Mistress Sade:

"I then bought the foam-core and cut out the hole. Working very precisely, using a ruler, compass and Xacto knife, I cut a two inch round hole in the 3/16 inch thick foam-core board"

Our foam was not quite sturdy enough, so we hauled out the wooden Ball Presenter. Placed under the foam, it would hold sol's genitals in place while I practiced some fiendish needle play:

We then lay the blue foam panel on top of the Ball Presenter and sol pulled his cock and balls through the hole. Once he was lying flat and comfortable on our bed, I restrained his hands via the cuffs to the chains above the bed, and I tied some black hemp rope around the foam panel to keep it in place:


I've always loved the way the Ball Presenter objectifies and disembodies sol's cock and balls, and the foam did the same. I equally loved db's description of his own scene, when Mistress Sade:

I chose 23 gauge needles in part because I wanted something shorter and 23g are kind of "middle range" re thickness (see this post for our explorations with gauges). db also noted that Mistress Sade used "20-25 gauge needles in a variety of different colored needle hubs". I wanted a uniformity of color hub, so was happy with the blue hubs of the 23 gauge, as they matched the color of the foam.

For a good "how to" post about needle play, read this one. I cleaned my hands and surfaces with antibacterial wash (I didn't worry about wearing gloves because we are fluid bonded) and then wiped over the area I planned to work with alcohol swaps:


I began to insert needles in an upright position at the very base of his balls:


Sol found those first needles "sharp and ouchy but bearable". I continued to insert them around the base of his balls, but soon realized I was going to encounter a major problem. The skin of his balls constantly moved, expanding and contracting. The needles were literally being pulled out of the foam base.

I altered my game plan - rather than thinking of each needle as something static that once placed didn't move, I now went back and slightly moved the tip of each needle in the foam, every time sol's balls changed size:


Interestingly when I looked at the foam pad after the scene those first needles had been moved up to fifteen times. But the new game plan worked. I was able to continue my "stake out":

As you can see, sol still has a great hard on. It looked so amazing with the needles around the balls that I masturbated him for a minute or so, moving his foreskin up and down his straining shaft:


I knew his hard-on was amplified by the Ball Presenter. alexpierce prepared me for blood when placing / removing needles from the male genitals, and I've always been grateful for that warning. We don't mind a bit of blood play, and neither do our play partners, but it's unnerving the first couple of times, you do worry you've caused damage. But I've learned now that sol bruises, then heals, and we've never done any permanent damage.

I'd been pulling sol's foreskin forward, the last couple of needles ... and now it was time to place the two needles actually into his foreskin:
