We drove down to Sydney last Thursday for a seriously kinky weekend.
We had plans to attend a munch on Thursday night (organized by NotExcessive, with whom we were staying), a BDSM dinner on Friday, and take part in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday night. We were also hoping for some more play time with MzAntonina, who's partner MacTheKnife was celebrating his birthday on Sunday. Quite a weekend!
The Xmas Present having happily gone into storage on Wednesday (she has more fun there than at home, as she knows many of the other dogs who stay on the same farm), we headed off at 8am on Thursday. We took the inland route. We even have favorite places to stop where we pick fresh birch bundles...
12 hours later we reached Sydney. We were about an hour late for the munch, frantically driving around Newtown looking for a car space. We finally ended up parking next to our friends MzAntonina and MacTheKnife's home, and raced down Oxford St to find the right venue.
NotExcessive (who also organizes 4WD BDSM Getaway! events) has been running the monthly SUD/s munch in Sydney since April 1998. Puts my couple of years of holding munches to shame, doesn't it?!:
"SUD/s originally started as a group of BDSMers associated with Sydney University in one way or another (students, graduate perverts, etc.) back in April of 1998. Anyone is welcome to come along, though, because it's nothing really to do with academia any more - it's just that's how it started. There are no exams (unless made by prior arrangement) and all you have to do is be able to answer the question, 'What city is Sydney University located in?'
"The purpose of the evening is social: food, drink, conversation, and the chaining of various submissives to the table simply because it's NICE to chain submissives to tables. We have a core group of regulars, and new faces drift in and out, so if you're free on this night, do drop in"
So we did. I always love attending other munches. And indeed there were many friends there as well as new faces, and a great night was had by all.
We left about 9.30pm, planning to head over to NotExcessive and bella_donna's home to watch a Darren Aronofsky film (we've been working through them). We were just passing MzAntonina and MacTheKnife's home on our way to our car, and I was just saying "this is where MzAntonina comes out to walk the dog and finds us here like a couple of stalkers" when she did exactly that...
So we stopped for a late cup of tea and a catch up with how everyone was. We also raised the possibility of a play session on Saturday, and MzAntonina seemed delighted. Yay! Now sol and I needed to go do some very specific shopping...
Falling into bed at NotExcessive and bella_donna's home a couple of hours later was absolute bliss. We were very tired, and still a bit crook with colds, but we were so looking forward to the rest of the weekend.
I'll be posting separately about that play session and the Mardi Gras Parade. Stay tuned...
