Mistress160's Abode: Trying SAX's rattan cane

We recently missed out on visiting S(A)X's leather workshop and new store in Byron Bay with Northern NSW group munch friends. But we were able to get there a day later - me, with a mouth full of anaesthetic from an emergency dental appointment!

The new shop looks great and I recommend any kinky visitors to Byron Bay drop in.

We came home with a new toy to try out. S(A)X had recently launched it's Black Beauty Cane online:

"Black Beauty Cane

"The Black Beauty Cane is 80cm (32inches) long x 10mm diameter [of rubber coated rattan]. The Black Beauty has a purpose made durable PVC handle with a ribbed grip. There is a leather loop through the handle for security."

We didn't have the Black Beauty, we had a cane similar to S(A)X's Straight Cane:

But our cane was coated in rubber like the Black Beauty. Being covered in rubber is extremely useful for a cane. It means they are significantly easier to clean. Our rattan cane was also thinner than either of the products I've mentioned, because it was left over from a multiple product private order.

We decided to give the new cane a try out before work one morning. As part of our morning D/s rituals, sol kneels and presents to me three corporal punishment implements of his choice. It's my choice whether I use these or not. But I try to allow enough time in the morning to do so, because it centers sol beautifully, for the work day ahead.

We only had about ten minutes, so put the time to good use. Here is sol presenting me with the new cane and another favorite S(A)X toy, The Rod:

Now I have to admit, I'd been a bit of a smart ass about this new cane.

When I'd first tried it I'd thought it was waaay too light and whippy to be useful. Well I can tell you right now I got THAT wrong. Yes it IS light. Yes it IS whippy.

But it's a fiendish little fucker when used at speed:

I had requested sol wear his new S(A)X Leather chaps. I'm sure you can understand why - they not only beautifully framed his ass, they provided excellent protection from the wrapping you are always going to get with a new cane, as well as with something this light and whippy.

We had quite a short play time so after about twenty strokes or so I changed to The Rod - I've posed the photo below so you can see how the chaps protect sol:

I really like The Rod. You might recall we've had some fun with it before. It's made of Delrin, which makes a great corporal punishment toy (you'll find a detailed description of Delrin on that other post):
