From the title of this post you are probably imagining that sol and I brought home a couple of cutely named female subs ... nope. Try again. How about: sol and I indulged in some messy food play? Closer, definitely closer...

sol and I recently acquired a couple of new toys (here and here) that work best with anal play. This gave us the opportunity to do some research on enema recipes.

We've given each other enemas for years. Wiki says:

"An enema is the procedure of introducing liquids into the rectum and colon via the anus. The increasing volume of the liquid causes rapid expansion of the lower intestinal tract, often resulting in very uncomfortable bloating, cramping, powerful peristalsis, a feeling of extreme urgency and complete evacuation of the lower intestinal tract.

"Enemas can be carried out as treatment for medical conditions, such as constipation and encopresis, and as part of some alternative health therapies. They are also used to administer certain medical or recreational drugs.

How do kinksters use enemas? On the same page, under the sub heading "Recreational Usage", Wiki notes:

"Enemas may be used as part of BDSM activities, or as a regular sexual activity for an individual or between partners. In many cities, enemas are available as a service from practitioners in the sex industry to cater to human sexual desires. Enemas can be pleasurable to either sex, and in males, enemas can stimulate the prostate gland...

"An enema may also be used prior to anal sex or anilingus in order to enhance the sensation of intercourse, or to remove feces prior to sex, possibly reducing bacterial transmission and risk of infection, or just to reduce the possibility of fecal material adhering to the genitals or sex toys used during the subsequent activity"

While cleanliness prior to play is one reason we use enemas, sol and I also enjoy incorporating other BDSM elements. We certainly enjoy the ritual side of it. While most people - including myself - enjoy a completely painless enema now and then, sol (being a raving masochist) also enjoys finding ways to increase his discomfort levels. One way to do this is to have me tell him to hold or retain the liquid. Another way is to use enema recipes or mixtures that cause internal gas and cramping.

Originally sol used plain water enemas and then ones with salt, to clean him out prior to anal play. But then he read online that adding lemon juice dramatically enhances cramping. So he uses a mix of lemon juice and salt - this has worked well over the years and doesn't leave him too wiped out or dehydrated.

However this time sol particularly wanted to try one of the two enema mixtures frequently referred to online as being "good punishment mixtures".

The first of these was the Milk & Honey mixture ("2 cups milk 16 oz. honey 4 egg whites ... blend ingredients, then heat in a small saucepan to 105 degrees"). This appears on quite a few sites with an identical recipe, which seems to confirm it's popularity. The Frugal Domme includes it on her enema recipe page, with the comment:

"Very nice for punishment, heavy cramping"

Enema Health notes:

"Milk & Honey is a mixture that will cause gas in the intestinal tract. However it is not quite as intense as milk and molasses"

Milk & Molasses ("milk 1 cup ... molasses (blackstrap) 1 cup ... warm milk to 110º fahrenheit, add molasses stir. let cool to 100ºFahrenheit Administer rapidly") was the other mixture sol was interested in. It seems popular in both the vanilla and kinky world. Why molasses, I wondered. "Think of the molasses as an intestinal convulsant", one nurse wrote,

"it causes spasms in the large bowel ... Its very effective and explosive".

Hmmm. Mistress Diabolical writes on her enema page about this mixture:

"very strong cleansing action with brutal cramps".

I could see why sol wants to try it. However we didn't have molasses to hand, so Milk & Honey won the day:


You can purchase various enema items at lots of kinky online stores, as well as your local pharmacy. We don't use anything fancy (although I do have a slight fetish for these vintage style enema syringes). Sol and I use an old-fashioned hot water bottle enema kit, where the hot water bottle is adapted with a hose / tube with a pinch clamp and a nozzle on the end.

Sol prepared the mixture and poured it into the enema bag while I covered the massage bed with towels and a pillow and moved the bed under where the enema bag would hang (suspended via rope from an attachment point in the ceiling ... you need to suspend the enema bag about a foot to 18 inches above the anus).

Everything prepared and ready, sol stood in a submissive pose beside me: naked but for some pretty lingerie, hands behind back...

Looking him in the eyes, I snapped on a pair of latex gloves. I don't need them, although they do make cleaning up easier ... I really only wear them because sol says his insides go all liquid whenever he sees me snapping them on *grin*.

And then directed him to the massage bed. Once sol was comfortably lying down, it was time to slurp around some lube:

And then opened the pinch clamp. An enema usually takes up to 15 minutes to be administered. In this case it only took ten minutes for the Milk & Honey mixture to make it's way into sol.

While he remained on the bed I removed my gloves, shut off the clamp and slowly removed the rectal tube. I then thrust the used nozzle into the fingers of one of my used gloves and hung it back on top of the now empty hot water bottle:


It's a good way to get things out of the way until you have time for a proper clean up at the end of the enema.

Sol usually holds the lemon and salt enema for twenty minutes but he only lasted about five minutes with the Milk & Honey mixture. There were no real cramps while holding the enema, but when sol stood up, they came on with a vengeance.

Oh oh. I took one look at his face as he huddled on the floor and decided this was no time for "no ... you can't go to the loo" games.

He shot off to the bathroom. He was back there about five times over the next hour. Even after experiencing (purposely sought) cramping during an enema, sol is usually fine and ready for play the moment he's released it ... but not this time.

The Milk & Honey mix turned out to be a tough experience, and not one sol wants to repeat. He said later that for over an hour he felt extremely nauseous, with that sick feeling you get with diarrhea, rather than the healthy feeling - that some find euphoric - of a normal release. He was also very dehydrated.

I got him to bed and gave him a large bottle of water. After about an hour and a half he began to feel a little better and wanted to play.

So it was back on the massage table, but this time with his feet spread and attached via cuffs to a spreader bar now hanging where the hot water bottle had been. This position makes anal play easy because sol's muscles are relaxed.

I snapped on another pair of latex gloves and lubed him up...

Unfortunately we didn't get far. While his anal area seemed fine from outside, it soon became apparent that internally he was still very sore indeed. I soon had to remove our new toy ... it had only gone in an inch or so, but it felt to sol as if he was being "cut by a knife".

I replaced the toy with my fingers and then with a small smooth vibrator. The combination of the vibrator and my hand on sol's cock meant he didn't last very long at all:

So ... forget the Milk & Honey thing, unless it's serious punishment time (it certainly makes a good threat). Next weekend it's back to lemon juice and salt, if we actually want to get any play.

But I bet you quite soon sol will forget how bad this was and start asking me about obtaining some Molasses!
