BON4 - first installation

As I wrote the other day we have just been very kindly given the BON4 to review for S(A)X, who hold Australian distribution rights.

We were absolutely delighted to do this for S(A)X. Apart from the fact we always like to support this terrific locally owned BDSM business, we have great respect for the manufacturers of the BON4 (a forum thread about who they are here). They have a great deal of experience in chastity devices and chastity play. Any device they designed was surely going to be good.

Here is the BON4 in it's magnetic box:

The manufacturers advise you keep your device in the box when not in use and this seems a good idea. It keeps it out of the light, for a start .... very important with silicone. The color of our device is Transparent Clear. I believe other colors will soon be available, but I really like the clear look. The device itself is very smooth to touch, and very sexy.

Here's some of the technical details from S(A)X's page about the product:
"The Bon4 Male Chastity Device ... is supplied with three ring sizes of flexible silicone that interlock with the comfortable silicone cage. The device is fully adjustable and will fit anyone. Simply choose the cock ring that fits the best and fit it around your penis and testicles. Then attach the cage and interlock them with the silicone belt. Add the padlock and lock things down!

"Approx. 4.3 (111 mm) inches in total length; internal cage length approx. 2.5 (65 mm) inches in length; cage opening approx. 1.4 (35 mm) inches. Ring sizes are approx. 1.6 inches (41 mm), 1.9 inches (47 mm), and 2.1 inches (52 mm).

"The fully assembled weight is 90gms"
Keep in mind I'm not doing a formal review here. The comments I'm making now are those sol and I made in discussions during the first installation of the BON4.

Obviously - due to their shared use of silicone and their purpose - there are some design similarities with the Birdlocked device. Now we've not actually used the Birdlocked but we have good friends that have. I've also been able to compare the two devices visually via this link, via JakkZone's You Tube video and also his "early review" of both devices about half way down this forum page. I'm sure lots more reviews will hit the internet soon. Anyway, while there are other design differences, the main difference you note when you first examine the BON4 is that it comes to two parts, rather then the Birdlocked's single piece.

The BON4's separate rings were going to be interesting to explore. The BON4's manufacturer claims "the device is fully adjustable and will fit anyone. Simply choose the cock ring that fits the best and fit it around your penis and testicles".

This claim was one of the things we wanted to check out during our trial of the product. The rings can't be adjusted. What if you fell between the sizes of the rings, in terms of cock and ball size, with one ring too loose and the other too tight? Was the manufacturer's advice to choose the ring "that fits the best" going to prove easier said than done?

I had sol shower and shave his genitals during the afternoon. A few hours later, after his skin had calmed down, it was time to install the device for the first time.

Sol did a comparison between the BON4 rings and his CB6000 rings. We'd experimented with several of the latter and so sol decided on the BON4 ring that was closest to the CB6000 one he uses with most success. This turned out to be the smallest of the BON4 rings, the one that is 41mm. We thought it might take a while to find the right ring, and expected a few changes and adjustments during the evening.

Getting his cock and balls through that very first time proved a challenge:

Not only was the device unfamiliar but the manufacturer advises "using a [water based] lubricant while putting on the BON4". Which we didn't have to hand! I'll definitely confirm the manufacturer's advice in my final review!

I was a bit concerned his PA piercing might be a bit damaged as he wiggled and waggled his equipment through:

But soon he was through successfully, no problem to the piercing at all (just a bit red for a while):

Next, he looped the "silicone belt" through the attachment points on the cage:

Then it was time to fit his cock into the cage. We had no problem but certainly lube would make this even easier. Sol then interlocked the cage and the ring with the silicone belt:

Finally it was time to secure the lock:

Click!

That really is one of the most erotic sounds ... the click of a lock on a male chastity device!

I was impressed with the quality of the lock. All this attention had resulted in sol getting hard ... or trying to! This is now as hard as he can get!:

We spent some minutes checking out the sensitivity level of the device. Sol really couldn't feel my finger nails against the cage:

"Try squeezing the cage" I suggested:

That was really all he could do. He did comment that one might eventually be able to come by manipulating the cage by squeezing but you'd need to be very aroused lol.

Here's a shot of the fully installed device from below sol's balls:

We admired the finished installation for a while. Then sol said "I think this ring is too tight. May I have permission to change to the next size?"

So we took everything off and started installing again with the 47mm ring:

Here I am checking the end result, which looked good:

We turned our attention away from the device for a while, watching some movies in bed and reading. A couple of hours later sol suddenly found himself out of the device:

So it was back to the smaller ring. This second time, now being more familiar with the device, installation was easier. Soon sol was reinstalled:

I gave him strict instructions to keep me up to date with how everything was feeling over the next few days. I was initially worried that the smaller ring might prove too tight but he seemed to adapt well.

So. Now we are all set to go. Tomorrow we start a very long drive ... a good way to test the comfort of the device. I'll put up a proper review in a couple of weeks time, but we'll keep in touch informally on the device's progress along the way. Remember, if you'd like to try the BON4 before then you can purchase it via S(A)X's website.

PS: just a quick added footnote. Sol slept through the first night, no erection wake up problems which was good ... then the second night he was awake five times lol (that was more to do with having sex just before bed!). The device also proved very comfortable during the first 800km of a 2000km drive. Back soon :)
