Seaside munch...

Some of Fetlife's North Coast NSW group met for a munch at Fingal Head last Sunday.

Fingal is a sleepy village at the mouth of the Tweed River on the border coast of New South Wales, just a few kilometers south of the Gold Coast. The place is very beachy and summer holiday-ish, and the cafe where we met (which was the "local" of a regular munch attendee) was equally relaxed.

The cafe's decoration was seriously holiday kitch, with lots of 1970s artifacts (like the wooden spoons below) and their great dogs and smokers welcome sign, where someone has stuck an actual cigarette in the painted dog's mouth!:

After a very long lazy lunch some of us went for a walk on the beach, which was almost deserted. Here's the Xmas Present enjoying off leash time (sol was also off his leash *grin*):

One of us was even mad enough to go for a swim.

Aware of a storm approaching we then walked around the headland, to the Fingal Head Lighthouse, which was erected in 1872:

The lighthouse is built on one of the most easterly points of Australia. Around the head land you discover this amazing view of the Gold Coast:

Thanks so much to everyone who came, it was such a nice afternoon :)
