nexo's interesting new chastity device

As most regular readers know, sol and I are into chastity but have never found a device that suited us. There was always some problem, or we didn't like part of the design or whatever. Probably 90% dithering, really lol. But now we've found something we really like the look of, so we thought we'd run it by you.

I recently met nexo on Fetlife. If you are not a member of Fetlife and you're interested in male chastity, there are some active groups there you might like to take part in. Here's a thread with guys who wear chastity devices discussing their pros and cons. nexo started a thread on the Kinky Items For Sale group about the Hardcore Male Chastity Devices he made. Here's one of his posts:

"I thought this [design] through for two years before the concept took form, asking myself lots of questions and getting clear regarding my intentions and desires. I really wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing to look at and which could be perceived from several perspectives... miniature sculpture, art, body jewelry, medical prosthetic, and functional chastity device.

"The CB-2000 actually provided inspiration in the form of reviews, which stated that it wasn't foolproof and inescapable, and being a problem solver I decided to put my pervy little mind to work and see what I could devise, reverse engineering my concept to the simplest and most effective form I could imagine.

"Now I'd like to super-size it, making it about three hundred times bigger, and see if I can get it placed as an installation in [Seattle Art Museum's] new Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle! I like thinking BIG :)"

LOL. So I went to check out his website . He's right about it being aesthetically pleasing, it's almost like a piece of very fine jewelry. Then I started a private conversation with him. The following info is drawn from both that conversation, the groups above and nexo's site.

nexo's very elegant solid stainless steel device consists of three pieces: a solid metal ring that fits snugly around the base of the cock and balls; a hollow urethral sound welded to an angled brace or bracket that inserts into the ring; and a small padlock with key.

Here's some info from nexo's website:

"The device seizes the penis while soft, and locks on to prevent erection, intercourse or masturbation. The unique design makes it impossible to remove the device or pull the penis out. The high quality, surgical-grade steel makes for easy care and maintenance, and allows him to remain chaste while showering or using the bathroom.

"Fitting is very, very simple. Just slide his testicles and penis through the solid steel ring, then insert the urethral wand into his flaccid penis using a personal lubricant. Finally, lock it all together with the included padlock. The compact design keeps the penis naturally pointed downward, so bulging and noticability is virtually non-existent. There are two styles of device. One style features a solid rod:

"If you're new to urethral insertion you may wish to consider purchasing the Premier Edition. With the Premier Edition you can choose a rod diameter of 1/8" or 3/16." If you have a narrower than average urethra the 1/8" diameter rod is the suggested choice. Urine flows around the rod when using the bathroom"

We've seen other versions like this in the past. What intrigued us especially was the second style:

"This version of the chastity device uses a hollow tube instead of a solid rod, and urine flows through the tube when the chastized male uses the bathroom.

"The Deluxe Male Chastity Edition is offered with a standard tube diameter of 5/16," though custom made devices with larger diameter tubing are available for the daring or advanced user"

We'd not seen another chastity device that allowed the urine to flow through it.

Our first question to nexo was about possible irritation around the urethra:

"Irritation, when it does happen, mainly occurs inside the urethra where the tip of the device rubs the skin. This can happen with PA Wands also. A product called "Bag Balm" is the best salve/lubricant around to help with such irritation when it occurs, and it's available at a wide variety of stores, including drugstores and natural food stores, food co-ops, etc."

Our second question was whether nexo saw this as a short term wear device or long term. He confirmed the latter:

"I consider it a long term wear device, though a person may need some time to adjust to it. In the least, it should be removed for cleaning once per week anyway, and this in itself could make for a very nice scene... :)"

We asked about customer testimonials, primarily to check how long they'd worn their devices. nexo said he'd check back with several, and shortly afterwards sent me a review by S. S calls the device a "cock trap" which I rather like ("It looks not at all like a cage, but rather more like some kind of mousetrap for your cock. For lack of a name, I'll call it the "Cock Trap""):

"The cock trap must be sterilized by boiling or dipping in alcohol before each use, just like a catheter. It is installed by squeezing the balls through the ring, followed by the cock, until the ring is seated against the public bone. Then using a liberal amount of KY or similar lubricant, the sound is fully inserted into the urethra until the pee-hole is up against the bracket. Then the free end of the bracket is inserted into a hole in the ring aligning eyeholes on the bracket and ring. Then the lock is threaded through the eyeholes and snapped closed. I found it helpful to use a Q-tip to lubricate the skin under the ring with vitamin E oil to keep the skin from binding.

"I've worn the cock trap for a week 24/7, sleeping, showering, exercising, and normal daily activity. It's the most comfortable and unobtrusive chastity device I've yet found. It's invisible under most street clothing, including tight exercise clothing. However, it would be visible under a brief competition style swimsuit. For the first couple of days, the meatus was irritated by infringing on the bracket. It felt like a sharp pinch when walking. Periodically, a dab of 'bag balm'(available at the drugstore) around the meatus helped to alleviate this. After a couple of days, the sensitivity lessened, probably because the skin in that area thickened up. It's now only an occasional problem. I'm a little concerned that this irritation of the meatus might become an avenue for infection, but so far that hasn't happened. A little dab of Neosporin or other antibiotic gel might forestall any problem here. I'd be wary of wearing a urethral insertion device indefinitely - it should probably be removed for cleaning and sterilizing at least once a week, and swapped one week a month with some other device, to allow any residual urethral irritation to clear up.

"The cock trap at just under 3" in length from ring to tip, severely restricts erection, though it does not prevent direct stimulation of the cock. Because the pee-hole is directly infringing on the narrow bracket, even a partial erection is exquisitely painful, with a sharp pinching sensation right on the meatus. For those who can come without an erection, the cock trap won't serve as a chastity. Unlike most cage-style designs like the CB2000, on account of the depth of penetration of the sound, it is not possible to pull the cock out the back of the device. I'd say it is impossible to escape from without the key.

"Since nothing is covered or enclosed by a cage, cleaning of both device and skin is quite straight forward during a normal shower. No Q-tip, toothbrush or other device is needed to clean anything. Peeing is through the hollow sound, and there is a drip extension of about 1/4" beyond the bracket to help avoid dripping on ones scrotum. Peeing will take a bit longer than normal because the inside diameter of the sound is some- what less than the fully expanded urethra.

"It can be customized by specifying the inside diameter of the ring, and the sound comes in three different diameters.

"As an alternative to restrictive belts, bulky cages and devices requiring a chastity piercing of the cock, the cock trap is quite an interesting alternative. If you're squeamish about sounds, or are one of those who can come without an erection, you'll need to look elsewhere. Otherwise it's highly recommended"

I woke up this morning with the words "even a partial erection is exquisitely painful" on my mind lol. nexo added to this:

Please note that I previously made the hollow tube version of the device in three sizes, but have since discontinued the smallest diameter version (1/4," which is what this gentleman purchased.) I discontinued it because the narrow diameter of the hole in the tube didn't allow urine to flow freely through it. Hydrodynamics and pressure made urine flow both through and around the outside of the tube. The smallest size tube version I now offer is 5/16" in diameter, and this is mentioned on my website"
