We were offline for my birthday, but it was a terrific one that I thought you'd like to share belatedly....
Last year we had lots of fun down at our play cabin. You remember, I turned sol into birthday cake platter covered with miniature cup cakes , we had that great scene with CBT and fishing weights, and sol wrote a wonderful story for me. But this year we'd just moved into our new home and still had no solar power. We'd been very kindly invited to one of Uber's dinner parties for my birthday weekend, which I'd dearly love to have attended. However funds being a bit tight post-Move, sol had already made plans for the weekend...
On Saturday we drove to Byron Bay to spend an hour at our favorite spa and sauna. The nice thing was there was no-one else there so we could frolic in the sauna and the plunge pool to our heart's content.

Then in the evening we drove to an increasingly popular lantern festival held in a local country town. The first lantern we saw was this one, which looked even better lit up after dark!
It was a wild stormy night but we were warmly rugged up and watched the lantern parade with great delight. Here's a short video I found on You Tube:Afterwards we walked with the crowd to the riverside for a very professional performance and fire show spectacular.

It was very nice of all these people to go to so much trouble for my birthday weekend!
Did I receive any presents, you ask? Well, when I woke up on my birthday I discovered at the end of our bed, the most perfectly wrapped - and perfect - present:
I then got to unwrap him. But first of course I wrapped him up a bit tighter...
