Sol's queening stool prototype

Sol's been designing things again...

By now you've probably looked at the wooden structure in the photo above and thought "hmm looks more like a doll's house than a queening stool" lol ... and when sol first discussed the idea with me at first I was confused too, but have patience ... all things will be explained...

We've long shared an interest in face sitting. As Queens and Kings (maker of amazing looking queening furniture) delightfully point out in their history of queening:
"The use of the male face, lips, nose and tongue to give a woman sexual pleasure was first recorded in Egyptian hieroglyphs.

"The courts of ancient China also record how long tongued male slaves were specially trained to be used by the ladies at court. Once the slave was in position, the ladies would lift their skirts and use them to cover the entire scenario. Gentle, rhythmic hip and buttock movements enabled them to enjoy private orgasms with others present.

"Japan too copied this practice in it's brothels; and seats with a central aperture were used for the same purpose far back in Persian history, these were called man-face chairs. In India, graffiti still exists depicting similar scenes with gowned girls, obviously in ecstasy, queening male submissives whilst gazing upon an enormous erection!

"Queening also has a long tradition in the West ... in Medieval times pages would provide 'lip service' under their mistresses' skirts when their husbands were away in battle, thus enabling them to remain technically faithful..."
Some wonderfully designed devices have been created to practice this 'service'. Most familiar are queening stools and smother boxes which come in a wide variety of styles. We've always loved queening furniture made by companies like Queens and Kings. I haven't had a chance to ask them if I may reproduce their website images - you can see a D/s couple using one of their stools here. And my favorite design of theirs here. Sadly, we've never had £300 pounds to acquire it. Or even £200, for their great portable versions.

Some designers use standard queening stool / smother box structures as their starting point. Toys4lust make an interesting smotherbox + table combination for $500. Dungeon Equipment in the UK stocks an even more interesting looking queening bench with cage for £700 before shipping (whimper!). Others have done a great job converting chairs (although getting the sub at exactly the right height underneath could be time consuming) or creating toilet inspired designs (here) but we didn't particularly want the toilet seat aesthetic. Nor could we afford these other great designs - and living in Oz makes the cost of shipping furniture impractical anyway.

So how to explore our face sitting fantasies?

Sol as always came up with something innovative. Now keep in mind this is a prototype, he's still working on it. But for those of you who enjoy sol's creativity, here are the current construction details:

The rectangular wooden base (width: 44cm, deep 24 cm) sits flat on the floor.

From it rise eight columns (height: 20cm width of indiv column 35 x 70mm), four on each side. Three columns face the same way, the other pair are angled side ways. The first three columns add back to front stability, the pair angled side ways provide side to side stability.

A flat top board (same size as base) sits on top, split in the middle with a 6cm gap, the outer side of each being hinged underneath to the two outer columns.

The plan is to trim the top board so that it's flush with the base. All wooden edges will be sanded and the two top sections will be upholstered in either leather or vinyl. Hasp and staples will be added underneath the top sections, attached to the angled columns, to lock the hinged top section into place. This also provides stability for the dominant. Locks can be added for psychological effect.

The column positioning also has another use: to hold sol's head securely. Their height is linked to the size of sol's head. Together, the result is a secure fit with significantly limited movement. The position of the top boards partially obscures vision (the boards don't touch the eyes) and allows the nose, lips and chin to protrude through the space between the two boards.

Obviously you can make the device with non specific measurements - this would work best for, say, a dominant with a large sub stable. However, as with sol's Ball Presenter, the device works most effectively when made to fit a particular sub's personal measurements.

So, when you want to use this beast, you place the "stool" on the floor (on carpet or a rug is good, for a bit of support) and direct your sub to place his head in it. The hinged top sections are then lowered and the locking devices activated.

When you look down you see this:

Put the tongue away, sol ... good boy...

Where were we? Oh yes. Of course you can sit down facing either way, depending what areas of your anatomy you want your sub to focus on, and what games you want to play. I especially like facing sol's body because I can then do really fiendish things to it. And his raging hard-on amuses me.

Here's a pic of the prototype in action, with the dominant facing away from the sub's body, with the dominant's body slightly raised to provide a clear view. Ass worship is especially enjoyable in this position.

And here's the reverse: facing towards the sub's body. Clit stimulation (particularly with sol's excellent technique) is terrific in this position, although it's easy enough for the dominant to move any part within reach.

One of the problems we encounter with many existing queening stool designs is that often the sub is quite a bit below the top of the stool. Meaning the dominant often has to do a fair amount of wiggling to push her interesting bits into reach. Those types of stools are terrific for D/s games which are more about teasing, but our fantasies about queening stools have always been more ... er ... hands (lips? lol) on. We desire that contact. I also wanted the possibilities of breath control play as well.

I also wanted a "stool" to sit on that was comfortable for extended periods. I can hear several dominants out there reading this, yowling "it doesn't have a back on it, or arm rests!". But you can solve the back problem by placing the device against a wall, or if you prefer something softer, the side of your couch or back of another chair ... or use a cushion against a wall.

The arm rests are not an issue for me, because either I'm doing nasty things to sol, or ... and this is the other way this works well for me ... or I'm using it to sit on while working on my laptop. The latter is placed on a small table that either stands alone in front of me, or fits over sol's body, depending which way I'm facing. I like working on the laptop during face sitting because you can sit for a much longer time and more totally objectify your sub.

We've tried placing the device on a long, low rectangular coffee table, at one end. That had potential for the dominant facing away position. You could also indulge in bondage, etc. Actually I should mention that we also thought of placing locking attachments for sol's cuffs on the device.

*** Since I wrote this we've had a very enjoyable scene with the prototype, I promise to write about it soon***

So there you have it. Doesn't look like a house so much anymore, does it, lol? Anyone got any ideas?!

Great blog. Interesting concept for a queening stool. :)

Excellent. My Slave made us this stool, based on the above information. We haven't covered it in padding for the seating part yet, but it actually works perfectly well without.

Thankyou so much.

So glad you are enjoying it :)

We found the same, re padding. I have sat on it for up to an hour without discomfort, so we've never got around to it!

This is a great post; I really appreciate the photos. Also that your design doesn't cost and arm&leg, nor does it need great carpentry skills. +points for making the first photos look so innocent!

LOL. Innocent is not a word we hear much! Thanks for your comments!
